We have access to wholesale pricing for high quality natural wines produced in our area of the country. So, while we invite UpGardeners to donate their favorite quality wine to our raffle we can now open an invitation to pitch-in $15 to help us build our inventory to include a case of natural wines without any legwork! It's a great deal.
From the Seattle Times: Natural wine’s champions emphasize minimal intervention by the winemaker in the vineyard and in the winery. This generally means no pesticides, herbicides or fungicides (no modern chemicals) sprayed on the vines, no cultured yeasts used in fermentation, and — in the extreme — no sulfur added to stabilize the wine. ...the natural wine movement has contributed to an increasing focus on environmentally friendly viticulture and a hands-off approach in the winery.
