Join us and support making a difference and for real change.
Perennial flowering plants have a life-cycle of 5 to 7 years. These spread quickly requiring constant attention and replacement.
Our co-leads, have begun new work to redesign, replant, and refresh soil in our twenty-five Pollinator Beds - to upscale flower production and wildlife benefits throughout the garden - for our bees, hummingbirds, songbirds, and us too!
Since 2012, UpGarden's Giving Garden Team volunteers their time starting seeds, weeding beds, harvesting organic produce, and delivering food to folks in our neighborhood and around King County worried about their next meal.
In 2018, the Giving Garden started our Grow A Row program for gardeners who make space in their plots to grow a row of food from these starters for King County food banks near us.
No food goes to waste. Traveling and vacationing members graciously donate their harvest by notifying our Gleaning Team members to survey and glean. Join us and support our efforts in continuing to offer sustainably grown food available to our community.
